Drizzled Blueberry Bars
Ingredients:
1 C White Sugar
1 Tsp baking powder
3 C Flour
1 1/2 C Butter
1 egg
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
4 cups of blueberries
1/2 cup white sugar
3 tsp Cornstarch
Icing:
1 C Powdered Sugar
1/2 C Milk
Directions:
In a bowl combine your sugar, baking powder, flour, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg,1 cup of butter and an egg. You need a pastry cutter or use a butter knife and a fork to make it crumbly. Save 1/2 cup of butter for later. In a bowl mix your 1/2 cup of sugar, cornstarch and blueberries, take a baking dish and spray it with nonstick spray. Put half your flour mixture on the bottom and smoosh it down to make a bottom layer. Take your half cup of butter and melt it drizzle over the crust and save some of the butter for later. Pour all of your blueberries on bottom layer. Then add the rest of the flour mixture on top patting it down. Drizzle rest of butter on top. Bake at 350 till golden brown. Cool completely before putting icing on it.
In a bowl mix your powdered sugar, and milk and whisk it smooth. Pour it in a baggy and snip the end. Drizzle over the bars. You can serve this with whip cream or ice cream.
