Strawberry Cream Cake
Ingredients:
Whip Cream:
1 Container of Whipping Cream
3 T Sugar
1 T Vanilla
Strawberries:
1/2 C diced strawberries
Cake:
1 C Butter
1 C Sugar
4 eggs
2 T Warm water
1/2 Tsp vanilla
1 Tsp cinnamon
2 C Cake flour
2 Tsp Baking Powder
1/4 tsp salt
Directions:
In a bowl combine your room temp butter and your sugar. Mix for about 5 minutes. Add eggs one at a time beating after each egg. Add in your warm water, vanilla and cinnamon and mix together. Then add in your cake flour, baking powder and salt. Mix it for 15 minutes till it becomes shiny. Split the batter between two pans. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Put the cakes in the oven for about a half hour and check it using toothpick. If it comes out clean the cake is done. While they are cooking make your whip cream. Empty one container of whipping cream, 3 T sugar and vanilla in a mixing bowl. Mix till the whipping cream stiffens. Set it aside. Focus on your cakes now. When they are done, you will take them out and let them cool before taking them out of the pan and making them each into two cakes. You will take a flat dish and lay the bottom piece out very carefully. Spread some whip cream on it and sprinkle with diced strawberries on it. Keep layering it till you reach the top. Place the last cake on top very carefully. Take the rest of your whip cream and top the cake and around the sides of the cake with whip cream. Once it's done, you can decorate the top with strawberries. The top in this picture has Tea berries on it. They are what is made into wintergreen. If you have those growing, then you can use those. If not, then just top with strawberries.
