French Onion Soup
Ingredients:
2 Vidalia onions sliced
1 purple onion sliced
(6C total)
1/3 C oil
1 T sugar
1/2 tsp pepper
1 T white wine
6 C beef broth
1 loaf of French bread
1 C fontina cheese
1C Italian shredded cheese
Directions:
In a saucepan put your thinly sliced onions in with oil, pepper and sugar. Cook till they start turning golden. Add your white wine, cook it down and then add your beef broth. Let it boil, then turn it down and let it simmer for half hour. Put your soup in an oven safe bowl and put a slice of bread on top. Add both cheeses and cook till golden. Enjoy
