Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwiches

                                                                    


 

Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwiches

Ingredients:

Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
2 C Buttermilk
2 C Flour
2 Tsp Garlic Salt
Salt and Pepper to season 
1 inch of oil for frying

Sandwiches:
Fried chicken breasts
Rolls
Leaf Lettuce 
Coleslaw (Optional)

Directions:

In a pan put about 2 inches of oil and let it sit while you prepare ingredients. Grab two bowls, put buttermilk in one, and flour/garlic salt in another.  Set it aside.  Now take your boneless skinless chicken breasts and but them in half. Pound them till they are thin.  Once you have done the chicken you can prepare to fry them. Take each one and salt and peppered each side. Toss it in flour then in buttermilk, then flour again. Now put them in the oil. Flip them over when its golden brown on each side. About 5 min each side. Repeat till chicken is all done.  Place them on a paper towel and prep the sandwiches. 

Take your roll and place your chicken, lettuce, coleslaw and top it with a roll. Eat and enjoy!

Cheddar Bacon Mac N Cheese

                                                                 

            

  Cheddar Bacon Mac N Cheese


Ingredients:

1 Box of Rotini Noodles

1 Box of Velveeta Chopped

1 package of shredded colby jack cheese

3 T Butter

3 T Flour 

1/2 C Milk

1 C Half and Half

2 Tsp Garlic Salt

1/4 C Chopped bacon


Toppings:

Cheddar Jack

Bacon Crumbles


Directions:

Boil your noodles and set them aside.  In a saucepan melt 3 T butter and add your flour. Whisk till butter soaks up the flour. Add your milk and half/half.  Whisk till it thickens. Add in your Velveeta and your colby jack cheese. Add your garlic salt and bacon crumbles. Stir till cheese melts into a nice smooth sauce. Pour on top of noodles and mix it up. Pour it into a baking dish. Top with more cheese and more bacon. Bake at 350 till cheese is melted and its bubbling.

Cheddar Bread

Ingredients:

1/2 C Warm Water

2 1/4 Tsp Yeast

1 T Sugar

1 1/2 C warm water

1/3 C olive oil

5 C Flour

2 Tsp Salt

3 T Sugar

1/4 C Cheddar

Directions:

In a bow or stand mixer bowl add a half cup of warm water, yeast and 1 T of sugar. Stir it up gently and let it sit for a few minutes. Then add your 1 1/2 C of warm water, oil, flour, salt and sugar. If you are using a stand mixer, use your dough hook. Let it mix together till it forms a nice ball.  You do not want it too sticky or dry. Place your ball of dough in a greased bowl and place it in a warm area and let it rise for an hour.  Once its risen you will punch it down and split the dough in half.  This will make two loaves. Take one and form it into a loaf and put it in a greased loaf pan and do the same with the second. Sprinkle both with cheddar cheese. Bake until bread is golden brown and no longer doughy.

Cheddar Drop Biscuits

Ingredients:

2 C Flour

1 T Baking Powder

1 Tsp Salt

1/3 C Butter cut small

1 C Cheddar Jack shredded

1/4 C sour cream

2 tsp parsley

2 tsp dill

1 tsp garlic sea salt

1 C Milk


Directions:

In a bowl combine your flour, baking powder and salt. Mix it up and add your chopped butter and cut it into pebbles with a pastry cutter or mixer. Add in your sour cream, milk and mix it up. add your cheese and herb mixture. Mix again gently till all combined. Get out a cookie sheet. Take a spoon and drop the biscuits on the cookie sheet. Bake at 350 till they are done. Enjoy!

Cheeseburger Casserole

                                                                 


Cheeseburger Casserole


Ingredients:

1 bag of crinkle cut fries

2-3 lbs. of ground beef

1 cream of chicken soup

1 cream of cheddar soup


Directions:

Brown your ground beef and drain it. Put it in a bowl and put in your cream of soup mixes.  Mix it up and put it in a baking dish. Top with crinkle cut fries. Bake at 350 till bubbly and fries are done.

Cheddar Bacon Shepards Pie

                                                                 


Bacon Cheddar Shepards Pie

Ingredients:

2 lbs. ground beef

Mashed Potatoes (Instant or homemade)

2 cans of corn

Cheddar cheese

Crumbled Bacon


Directions:

Make your instant or real mashed potatoes and set aside. Now brown your ground beef and put it in the bottom of a baking dish. Add your corn and then top with mashed potatoes. Next take your cheddar cheese and sprinkle it on the top and then add bacon. Bake at 350 till cheese is melted.

Cheesy Potatoes

                                                                     


Cheesy Potatoes

Ingredients:

1 bag of cubed hashbrowns southern style
1 medium sour cream
1 can of cream of chicken soup
2 bags of cheddar jack cheese
1/2 stick of butter
1 tsp pepper

*Make sure the hashbrowns are thawed out first*

Directions:

In a large bowl get your hashbrowns and add them. Pour in your melted butter, garlic salt, and pepper and mix it up. Then add sour cream and cream of chicken soup and mix together. Add your 2 bags of cheese and mix till combined. Put it in a 9x13 and spread it out. Bake at 350 until bubbly and golden brown. Enjoy!

Chicken Casserole

Ingredients:

Chicken Cooked and shredded
1 Can of cream of chicken soup
1 container of sour cream
1 container of ritz crackers
1 stick of butter melted

Directions:

Cook your chicken and shred it and put it in a bowl. Add in your cream of chicken soup and sour cream and mix well. Put it in a baking dish. Now crush a tube of ritz crackers and top the cream mixture. Melt your butter and drizzle it over the crackers. Bake at 350 till its bubbling. Enjoy!

Chicken Kabobs

                                                                         





Chicken Kabobs 

Ingredients:

4 chicken breasts cubed
1 can of pineapple chunks drained
2 Green Peppers cut up
1 onion chopped
Kabob sticks
Jar of Teriyaki Sauce

* If you are using wooden sticks make sure you soak them in water first. *

Directions:

Cube up your chicken and put them in a bowl. Pour in your teriyaki sauce and let it marinade.  Next cut up your peppers and onions in chunks. Drain your pineapple. After its marinaded assemble your kabobs. Chicken, pineapple, peppers, onion and repeat. Bake them in an oven at 400 degrees for an hour till done.

Cinnamon Roll Bread

                                                                     





Cinnamon Roll Bread

Ingredients:

1/2 C Warm water
2 1/4 Tsp Yeast
1 T Sugar
1 1/2 C Warm Water
4 C Flour
3 T Sugar
2 tsp Salt

Filling:

1 stick of softened butter
1/2 C sugar
3 T cinnamon

Glaze:

1/2 C Milk
1 1/2 C Powdered Sugar

Directions:

In a bowl put in your warm water, yeast, and sugar. Mix it a little and let it sit for 5 minutes. Once your yeast has bubbled then had your 1 1/2 cups of warm water, flour, sugar and salt. Mix it up till it forms a ball.  You do not want it wet but not dry either.  Put it in a greased bowl and let it rise for an hour.  While it is rising, you can work on the filling. Mix your sugar and cinnamon together.  Once your bread has risen and doubled you will put it on a cutting board with flour. Cut it into two loaves. Flatten out one of them to form a rectangle. Take your softened butter and spread it over the dough. Then take your cinnamon and sugar mix and sprinkle it heavily over the dough. Next you will roll up the dough starting at the bottom rolling towards the top. Do the same for the second loaf. Take two loaf pans and spray with nonstick spray. Take one loaf and place it seam side down, do the same for the second loaf. Put it in a warm spot to rise for an hour. Once its doubled in size put both in the oven at 350 degrees till the bread is golden brown. Take it out and let it cool before you remove it from the loaf pan. When they are cooling, mix up your glaze. Remove them carefully from your loaf pans and drizzle the glaze on top. Slice and enjoy!

Cornflake cookies

                                                                     


Cornflake Cookies

*This is not my recipe it is just a recipe I grew up on*


Ingredients:

2 T of Crisco

2 T peanut butter

1 2/3 C m&ms

3 C cornflakes


Directions:

Melt your peanut butter and Crisco together in a big pan. Add in your M&Ms using a metal spoon to crush them. Make sure it's all crushed and melted. Once it's done add in your cornflakes. Do not crush the cornflakes. Once it's done scoop them out onto a wax paper. They will harden as they sit. This makes about 15 cookies.
