Sugar and Cinnamon Peach Tart

 





 Sugar and Cinnamon Peach Tart

Ingredients:

Sugar Cookie Dough (Homemade or store)

3 peaches

1/4 C Brown Sugar

Topping:

Old Fashioned Oats

1/2 C Brown Sugar

4T Melted Butter

1 Tsp Cinnamon

Splash of Vanilla

Direction:

Spray your tart pan so it doesn't stick. Take your cookie dough and spread it in the pan all around and up the edges. Set it aside and start peeling the peaches and cutting them into wedges and arranging them on the cookie dough till its filled up. Now sprinkle your brown sugar on top of the peaches. In a bowl mix your oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, butter, vanilla and make a crumble. Sprinkle it all over the top of the tart covering it all. Bake at 350 for a half hour. Let it cool before lifting off the edge.

Butter Rosemary Chicken

 


Butter Rosemary Chicken

Ingredients:

Whole Chicken

1 Striped branch of Rosemary 

4 T Garlic

1 Stick of butter

Directions:

Stick a knife under the skin and stick your finger in it and lift it up gently. Take 2 T of garlic and rub it under the skin. Then take the last 2 T and rub it all over the outside of the chicken. Take your rosemary and strip it off and chop it small. Sprinkle it all over the chicken. Pour melted butter over the chicken. Bake the whole chicken according to its weight. Usually 3 hours.

Oven Beef Jerkey

 


Oven Beef Jerky

Ingredients:

1 package of thin cut steak

Marinade of your choice


Directions:

Slice your steak into strips depending on how thick it is and the cut of meat it is. Put in a baggy with your favorite marinade. You want the marinade to cover the meat.  Let it sit in the marinade over night. The next day take a cooling rack that is oven safe spray it with nonstick spray. Now lay the slices of steak on the cooling rack that is on top of the cookie sheet. Bake as low as your oven will go. Bake it for 3 hours. At the 1 1/2 hours go check it, rotate the pan and flip the strips over. Bake until they start to look like jerky. To keep safe store in the fridge.

Chocolate Caramel Pie

                                                                 


Chocolate Caramel Pie

Ingredients:

Salted Caramel Sauce (I will be creating one at some point)

1 bag of pretzels chopped

1 C M&Ms 

1 C Coconut

1 C. Walnuts (optional)

1 Bag of Dark chocolate chips


Directions:

Get your salted caramel sauce. You can either buy it or make it. Bake your brownies as instructed by the box and pour them into a pie plate and bake them according to the box. Take out your brownies and let it cool for a bit and then take a butter knife and poke holes all over the brownies. Now pour the salted caramel sauce over the brownies saving some for the toppings. Next add your pretzels, M&Ms, coconut, walnuts and sprinkle over the top. Now take your dark chocolate chips and melt them in the microwave or double boiler stirring occasionally till its melted. Let it cool slightly so it won't melt the baggie and pour the chocolate in. Snip the bottom and drizzle the chocolate over the brownies. 

Enjoy it with ice cream.

Fried Pickles

                                                                 


Fried Pickles

Ingredients:

Oil (For frying)

1/2 C Flour

Sprinkle of Cayenne

1 Tsp Garlic Powder

1/2 Tsp Celery Seed

Directions:

Take your pickles and put them on a paper towel and pat them dry. Get your oil going so it will be ready. In a bowl add your flour and seasonings. Take your pickles and toss them in the flour mixture dust off the flour excess flour. Add them to the oil and deep fry them till they are golden brown. Take out and put them on a paper towel and salt them to taste. Enjoy them.

Honey Molasses Cornbread

Ingredients:

3/4 C Yellow Corn Meal
2 C Sugar
2 Tsp Baking Powder
1/2 Tsp Salt
1 C Milk
1 Egg
1/4 C Oil
2 T Molasses
1 T Honey

Directions:

Mix together all the dry ingredients and then add your wet ingredients. Mix together till it is well combined.  In a pie plate or small baking dish spray it with nonstick spray. Pour in the batter and bake at 350 till golden grown.

Knock your socks off Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients:

6 potatoes

1 8oz block of cream cheese

1/3 C Milk

3 T Butter

2 C Cheese

1 1/2 Crumbled bacon

2 C French Fried Onions

1 C Green Onion

1 T Salt

Sprinkle of Pepper


Directions:

Peel and dice your potatoes and get them boiling. When they are boiled, strain them and add them to a mixer bowl with milk, butter, cream cheese whip till smooth. Add one cup of cheddar, one cup of bacon, one cup of French-fried onions, half cup of green onion, salt and pepper. Mix till combined. Put it in a casserole dish and top with leftover green onions, French fried onions, cheese and bacon. Bake at 350 till cheese is melted.

Mamaws Pizza

                                                                 




*This post is dedicated to my Mamaw. This is her pizza recipe. It is a family favorite. *


Ingredients:

Dough:

1 C Warm Water NOT hot. 

2 1/4 Tsp Yeast

2 Tsp Olive oil

2 1/2 C Flour

1/4 Tsp salt

1 Tsp Garlic Powder

Toppings:



1 Pepper Diced

1 Onion Diced

1 Celery Stalk diced

1 12 oz can dice tomatoes

1 Tsp Basil 

1 Tsp Oregano

1 Tsp Parsley

Olive Oil

Second Set of Toppings:

1 thing of sausage

1 bag of pepperoni

1 bag of mozzarella 



Directions:

In a bowl combine your water and yeast. Whisk to combine the yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes and then add your olive oil, flour, salt, and garlic powder, mix it till it forms dough. Take a bowl and spray it with non-stick and add your dough to it, cover and let it rise for an hour. While it is rising you can work on the toppings. In a saucepan add some olive oil to a pan and start heating it up. Dice your pepper, onion and celery. In the saucepan add your tomatoes, veggies and seasonings and cook till tender.  Take it off the burner and start browning your sausage. Take a pizza pan and spread olive oil and take your pizza dough and spread it on the pan. Take a fork and poke holes in it all over. Now add your sauce, then sausage, cheese and pepperoni. Bake at 350 till dough is cooked and cheese is melted. Enjoy!

Easy Chocolate Ice Cream as 123

                                                                     


    Easy Chocolate Ice Cream

Ingredients:

2 C Heavy Whipping Cream

1 Can of Condensed Milk

1 T Vanilla 

1/2 C Nesquik

Directions:

In a mixer bowl put in your heavy cream in and whisk till it forms a stiff peak, Add in your condensed milk, vanilla and Nesquik and fold it gently till it's all combined. Add it to a freezer safe container for 6 hours in the freezer.

Chili Cheese Tots

Ingredients:

2 lbs. of ground beef
1 can of tomato sauce
1/4 C Water
1 packet of chili seasoning
1 bag of tater tots
1 small box of Velveeta cheese
1 C Milk
1 Orange pepper
1 Green Pepper
1 1/2 C Frito Corn Chips Crushed 
1/2 C Green Onion

Directions:

Brown your ground beef, then add tomato sauce, chili seasoning, water. Add it to a casserole dish and set it aside. Now cube up your Velveeta and add your milk. Cook until melted. Cut up your peppers and onions and set it aside.  In the casserole dish add tater tots on top of the chili. Make sure they are not piled up so they cook evenly.  Pour your cheese sauce over the top, top it with semi crushed Frito corn chips, green onions, and peppers. Bake at 400 till the tater tots are done and things are bubbly.

Chicken Nachos

                                                                     




Chicken Nachos

Ingredients:

4 Chicken breasts
1 packet of taco seasoning
1/3 C water
Onions

Toppings:
Salsa
Sliced jalapenos
Colby jack shredded cheese
Tortilla chips

Directions:

Buy a rotisserie chicken or you can put the chicken breasts in the crock pot for 4 hours on high or till it shreds easy. Take it out and shred it, put it in a skillet with water and taco seasoning and heat it up. Put it in a bowl and set it aside. Cut your onion into thin and halved and cook them till they are done. Put them in a bowl. Take your cookie sheet and add tortilla chips to it. Add your shredded chicken, onions, salsa, jalapenos and cheese.  Bake at 350 till cheese is melted. Serve with sour cream.
